3 Program Benefits for Community
Health Educators

Safe Sitter® Is A Program With Far-Reaching Benefits

If you’re a community health educator, your passion is helping others be healthy, happy, and safe. Do you worry that everything you offer still doesn’t serve everyone in your community? Safe Sitter® can help.

  1. Safe Sitter® Fills Your Education Gap

If you find the number of programs you offer to young teens is limited, you’re not alone. Programs for kids in grades 6-8 are some of the hardest to come by.

Safe Sitter® was designed by nationally-recognized pediatrician Patricia A. Keener, M.D. to help middle schoolers as they ease into handling more responsibility, whether staying home alone for the first time, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. It’s the perfect program to help you provide an essential life and safety education for what may be an under-served population in your area.

  1. Safe Sitter® Is Easy To Add

You’re probably concerned with two things: money and time. You can bring the Safe Sitter® program to your community with a minimal investment. The registration fee of $699 gives you everything you need to get started:

    • Training for one Instructor
    • Game Pack
    • Graphics Pack
    • Program support
    • Marketing support

And the time it takes to get started is minimal. Instructor training is convenient and can be completed in less than 4 hours. Registered Providers can train additional Instructors at any time for $85 per person. Learn more about Instructor training options.

  1. Safe Sitter® Pays For Itself

We give you a wealth of marketing materials to help you promote your program, but it really spreads by word of mouth. Parents love it!

If you’re a nonprofit hospital, Safe Sitter® can help you fulfill your community benefit requirement to retain your tax-exempt status.  Plus, adding Safe Sitter® will increase your community exposure, making families more likely to visit your hospital for their future medical needs.

You have the freedom to establish and collect your own student fees.

Whether you’re with a hospital, a health department, or teach as an independent instructor, you’ll find that the good public relations Safe Sitter® can generate for you is priceless!
