Barbara Stuckwisch has served as Executive Director of Safe Sitter, Inc. since 2013.
Ms. Stuckwisch earned her B.A. from Culver-Stockton College (Canton, MO) and her J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law. After earning her law degree, she served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Illinois, handling cases in juvenile abuse, neglect, and delinquency.
In 2004, she began working in nonprofit administration, serving as executive director of a children’s advocacy center in western Illinois. For over twenty years she has worked in the areas of youth development and education, serving as director of a regional child protection center, executive director of a national women’s fraternity, and executive director of a private Montessori school. Prior to joining Safe Sitter, Inc., she worked in higher education, serving in various leadership positions in alumni relations and advancement.
Ms. Stuckwisch and her husband have two children, both of whom are Safe Sitter® graduates.
