Step One: Decide which programs you will offer.

It is easy and affordable to get started with Safe Sitter® to teach home alone safety skills as well as babysitting training. There is no registration fee; instead, you purchase course materials and register for Instructor training. As a Safe Sitter® Provider, you set and collect all course fees and manage class registrations. Get started today!

To begin, determine which Safe Sitter® programs will best serve your community. Our programs allow you to serve upper elementary students staying home alone, middle school students babysitting, and adults becoming grandparents. Additionally, each program has required course materials, and comprehensive courses require Instructor training.

Introductory Programs

For those looking for simpler options, introductory programs allow any adult who enjoys teaching preteens and teens to facilitate programs on home alone safety and child care techniques. You do not need to be a Safe Sitter® Instructor to teach these programs.
