Safe Sitter® Application Steps

Offering Safe Sitter® Programs

From the application to the online training, Safe Sitter® programs are easy and affordable to offer. 

Step 1
Submit Initial Safe Sitter® Application
Tell us about yourself and your organization

We’ll ask about your contact information, organization type, teaching location, CPR certification, access to manikins, current programs, and why you want to offer Safe Sitter® programs.

Step 2
Complete Application, Part 2
Qualified Applicants move forward to register as a Provider
  • Identify Site Coordinator: Provide contact information for the person handling administrative tasks (scheduling, registrations, ordering supplies, etc.)
  • Identify Instructors: List unique email addresses for each Instructor ($199/person certification fee)
  • Purchase Course Materials: One-time fee of $299 for Presentation Pack, program license, class listing, and ongoing support
  • Upload Insurance Certificate: Required for for-profit entities training multiple Instructors
Step 3
Review Estimate & Sign Agreement
Complete payment and Provider Agreement

You’ll receive an estimate via email with a secure payment link. In addition, you’ll electronically sign the 2-page Provider Agreement through Adobe Signature.

Step 4
Site Coordinator Orientation
Meet your Program Support Specialist

Your dedicated Program Support Specialist will conduct a customized 1:1 orientation to walk you through Safe Sitter® programs, best practices, resources, and support.

Step 5
Complete Instructor Training
Self-paced online training (approximately 4 hours)

Each Instructor receives:

  • Online Instructor training (self-paced and can be completed in about 4 hours)
  • Printed Instructor Manual for the Safe Sitter® babysitting course
  • Digital access to the Safe@Home Facilitator Guide and Instructor Manuals for the babysitting course as well as Grandparents: Getting Started
  • Instructor Tote
  • Login credentials to Instructor Resources
Step 6
Receive Materials
Course and Instructor Materials shipped

After completing Instructor training, your Course Materials and Instructor Materials will ship from Wisconsin via UPS Ground.

Step 7
Schedule & Market Your First Class
Create flyers and order student materials

Set your student fees and order required participant materials:

  • Safe@Home: $10/student
  • Safe Sitter® babysitting course: $18.50/student
  • Grandparents: Getting Started: $15/participant

Use the Marketing Flyer tool to create free co-branded marketing materials.

Step 8
Teach Your First Class
Have Fun!

Teach your class using Safe Sitter® curriculum and submit your Completed Class Report after the class.

Schedule Next Class
Schedule additional classes and expand your impact

Schedule your next class and continue serving your community with Safe Sitter® programs.
