What Is The Difference Between the Three Safe Sitter® Registered Provider Options?

We offer three options for individuals and organizations to partner with Safe Sitter® to teach young teens the skills they need to stay home alone safely, watch younger siblings, or start babysitting. Compare the three options in the chart below:

Government agencies and organizations with an independent board of directors can carry insurance on behalf of the Independent Instructor under the terms and conditions of their employment contract.
Nonprofit organizations and government agencies are not required to show proof of insurance.

For-profit organizations must provide proof of a minimum of $500,000 of general liability coverage listing Safe Sitter, Inc. as an additional insured.

Requirements to Maintain Provider StatusProvider must teach at least one class per year.Provider must have at least one active Instructor.

Teaching Sites with five or more Instructors are automatically upgraded to a Teaching Center.
Provider must have at least five active Instructors.

Teaching Centers with less than five Instructors become Teaching Sites and can still offer Safe Sitter® programming.
